<li>1/4 cup brown sugar</li>
<li>1 teaspoon ground cinnamon</li>
<li>1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg</li>
<li>1 quart apple cider</li>
<li>Apple slices for garnish, optional</li>

<p>Place 1 scoop of <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/od/milkproducts/a/icecreamtips.htm"><strong>ice cream</strong></a> in a thick soda glass or large mug. <h3>Cook Time: <span>10 minutes</span></h3>
<h3 id="rI">Ingredients:</h3>
<ul>
<li>8 eggs</li>
<li>2 Tbsp milk</li>
<li>1/4 tsp salt</li>
<li>1/4 tsp black pepper</li>
<li>1/4 cup chopped chives</li>
<li>1/8 cup chopped fresh parsley</li>
<li>1 (4 ounces) thick slice or chunk of cooked ham, cut into 1/4-inch diced pieces</li>
<li>1 Tbsp butter</li>
<li>1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese</li>
<li>Additional parsley for garnish</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="rP">Preparation:</h3>
<div>Place eggs, milk, <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa042202a.htm"><strong>salt</strong></a>, <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa091100a.htm"><strong>black pepper</strong></a>, <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa022398.htm"><strong>chives</strong></a>, and parsley in a blender and pulse until herbs reach a minced stage, but not completely pureed.</p>
<p>Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add butter and swirl to cover bottom of the pan. Add <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa122099a.htm"><strong>ham</strong></a> and saute about 30 seconds to heat. Lower heat to medium-low.</p>
<p>Pour egg mixture over warmed <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa122099a.htm"><strong>ham</strong></a>. As the mixture cooks, push up cooked portions with a heat-proof spatula and tilt pan so uncooked portion reaches the pan to cook. Remove from heat when eggs are still soft, but not runny. Sprinkle with <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blparmesan.htm"><strong>Parmesan cheese</strong></a>. Cover and let rest for 1 minute before serving to let eggs set and cheese melt a bit.</p>
<p>Garnish each serving with a sprig of fresh parsley. Serve with a side of fresh fruit and toast, <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blbread71.htm"><strong>biscuits</strong></a>, or hot rolls.</p>

<h3>Prep Time: 10 minutes</h3>
<h3>Cook Time: <span>1 hour</span></h3>
<h3 id="rI">Ingredients:</h3>
<ul>
<li>1 (20 ounces) can crushed pineapple, undrained</li>
<li>1 (21 ounces) can prepared more fruit cherry pie filling</li>
<li>1 (18.25 ounces) box yellow cake mix</li>
<li>2 sticks of butter or margarine, each cut into 12 slices</li>
<li>1/4 cup chopped nuts (your choice &#8211; optional)</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="rP">Preparation:</h3>
<div>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (325 for glass baking dish). Have a 9 by 13-inch baking pan ready.</div>
<p>Dump undrained <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa081301a.htm"><strong>pineapple</strong></a> baking dish or pan and spread it out evenly.</p>
<p>Using a spoon, dump globs of <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/od/fruit/a/cherries.htm"><strong>cherry</strong></a> pie filling evenly on top of the <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa081301a.htm"><strong>pineapple</strong></a>.</p>
<p>Sprinkle the <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blcakemix.htm"><strong>cake mix</strong></a> evenly over the <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/od/fruit/a/cherries.htm"><strong>cherry</strong></a> and <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/aa081301a.htm"><strong>pineapple</strong></a> layers.</p>
<p>Cut butter into slices with a butter knife and place slices evenly over cake mix.</p>
<p>Sprinkle <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blnutsindex.htm"><strong>nuts</strong></a> on top if you&#8217;re using them.</p>
<p>Bake for one hour. Use heavy oven mitts to remove the dump <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blcakeindex.htm"><strong>cake</strong></a> from oven or let your older helper do it.</p>
<p>To serve, scoop <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blcakeindex.htm"><strong>cake</strong></a> out with a large spoon like a cobbler, and dump it on a nice plate. A scoop of vanilla ice cream is delicious with dump <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blcakeindex.htm"><strong>cake</strong></a>. Serve warm or cold.</p>
<p>Yield: about 10 to 12 servings</p>
